This study rows against the stream. Cannabis is a well known trigger of psychosis. However, a derivate of it, the cannabinoid, has shown properties to improve anxiety, depression and… psychosis!

An international trial funded by the Wellcome Trust and led by Pr Philip McGuire (Oxford) is aiming to answer whether adding cannabinoid to clozapine can improve symptoms of psychosis.

Cambridge is one of the recruitment sites.

We are looking for people age 18 to 50, who were diagnosed less than ten years ago, who are prescribed with clozapine treatment but still suffering with debilitating symptoms.
